Midwest Hardwood Corporation is one of the largest buyers of Black Walnut logs in North America. Our market strength allows us to offer consistent supplies of walnut logs of every size and grade at competitive prices to markets around the world. We also have good volumes of hard maple, white oak and other North American Species in veneer logs, most FSC certified.
walnut_lumber Kiln Dried Lumber
We produce many North American species including black walnut, white oak, red oak, hard maple, soft maple, hickory, cherry, white ash, basswood, aspen, yellow poplar (tulipwood), American beech, white birch and yellow birch. Thicknesses include 19 mm – 76 mm. We can offer traditional NHLA grades as well as custom grades.

Ripped-To-Width Planks
We have 3 gang rip saws equipped with computer optimizers and automated infeeds. We produce 4/4 FAS/1F Black Walnut in 5.0” (125 mm), 6.1” (155 mm), 7.0” (178 mm) and 8.0” (203 m). We also produce the same widths in a Nature grade. Custom widths are also available.

Our new solid flooring production line was initiated in 2010 with the latest in production technology and strict standards for quality control. For those interested in extremely accurate milling in high-end solid flooring up to 200mm wide, we can be that source.

Dimension Components & Engineered Flooring Blanks
Our dimension plant is one of the largestproducers of Black Walnut flooring blanks in North America. Our blanks are sawn directly from the log at our sawmills in a proprietary method developed to maximize heartwood and minimize sapwood.  Our standard program produces over 10 containers per month of 26mm x 76mm strips in “A”, Recovery and Sap grades which allows customers to focus on making and selling flooring, not worrying if or when their next container of strips might or might not ship.

At the same factory we also have extensive capacity and experience in mouldings.
